The Mentawai Island is a wave-rich chain of about seventy islands and islets off the coast of West Sumatra region in Indonesia. This island is already known as one of the most consistent surf spots in the world. There are four main islands (Siberut, Sipora, North Pagai, and South Pagai) that block most swells from reaching the mainland of Sumatra, which became noted destinations for wave-hunters that are looking for some of the most perfect surfing experiences in the world.

Waves are facing almost every direction mainly because the winds are variable, so it’s easy to find a break with offshore conditions. Access to these islands by sea is only by regular ferries and charter boats. But now after the Rokot Airport in Siberut Island is ready, there are some small planes flights to this island from Padang.
